Which job should I choose? Both are good jobs, but the main thing I want is job stability, help me decide??!? | |
One is with a place that processes checks, kind of like a mailroom operational center, the other is a lossprevention specialist postion with a national retail clothing chain. The loss prevention job pays more (just by 25 cents, and the comapany is stable, the check processing job pays the least, but this company is stable too, and I got a better feeling about it when I went for the interview. Both jobs are part of my background, and now I don't know which to take. The check processing job is closer to my home, the latter is at least a 40 mile commute per drive there? So which should I pick?
Answers:
1Go with your gut. The check processing job gave you a better feel during the interview and is closer to home. When you consider the cost of gas these days and time you will spend commuting to the other job, 25 cents doesn't seem like enough to warrant choosing the loss prevention job over the other. That's only $10 per week, which you'll easily spend in gas and car maintenance. Best of luck to you!
